Getting to and from San Pedro Alcantara is easy as it is on a main bus route plus it has a taxi rank in the town centre.
You can get to all the main cities on the Costa del Sol by bus such as Ronda, Granada, Malaga and Seville. You can of course get to all the near by resorts too such as Puerto Banus, Marbella, Fuengirola, Toremolinos and in the opposite direction Estepona. The bus fares are very cheap but in peak times you will need to book a ticket for the longer journeys.

Parking in San Pedro
Much of the parking in and around the town is free, but can sometimes be difficult to come-by, especially in the busier months. There are some areas of the town with blue lines, indicating paying zones. You will find a ticket meter nearby which you can read in Spanish or English. Parking is per hour and is free after certain times and on weekends. Check the meter for details.
There is also an underground Car Park located in the centre of town just as you turn into Marques del Duero, on the right hand side.
Cycling/Rollerblading
Along the Boulevard, and all the way down to the beachfront, there are large blue cycle paths, popular with cyclists and rollerbladers alike. If using these paths, don’t assume that they are free from foot passengers though!

The main taxi rank in San Pedro used to be opposite the NH Hotel in the centre of town. It is was temporarily moved during he works that were being carried out but has remained on the main road just outside the Hogan Stand pub.
It is worth noting that you can only get a taxi from the designated area so you will need to get a Marbella taxi if you are in Marbella. Also you can not pre book a taxi so you can only call it and wait, or find a taxi rank. It is also not allowed to wave a taxi down (some people do, but don’t expect one to stop).

Buses to and from San Pedro Alcantara
The main bus stop in San Pedro has moved locations a few times over the years because of all the road and building works. It is now located on the main A7 road, the Autovia del Mediterraneo, that goes between the town and the beachside. There is a Portillo bus company kiosk where you can tickets for all services.
You can get a bus to many destinations including Ronda, Estepona, Marbella, Fuengirola and there is one direct bus to Malaga Airport on weekdays at 7.30am.
