The best of San Pedro’s ice-cream parlours (heladerías)

With the summer coming to an end, many of us are getting ready for the school season that starts in the next few weeks, but with this heavenly weather, there is still plenty to do and enjoy. And clearly, one of the things we can agree on is that we all love a bit of ice cream, as a great way of refreshing your palate as well as a tasting fab. Also, think of the health benefits, because when you eat a scoop of ice cream it provides you with protein, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium and vitamins A, B2 and B6—so there is no reason not to!

Here is a list of San Pedro’s ice cream parlours, many of them serving exciting new flavours as well as sugar free and non-lactose options, but feel free to let us know if you have a favourite spot or which is your preference. There may be some flavours in Spain you might find deliciously surprising such as the popular turrón flavour (sweet nougat).

Many special flavours are available for food intolerances, ensuring 0% contamination and 100% quality in gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free ice creams, and using fructose instead of sugar.
