What’s on, what’s open and what time? A short guide to San Pedro beach

This article has been written with children primarily in mind as it details the essential facilities and additional attractions that are available to families on the beachfront of San Pedro Alcántara

There are some unexpected and delightful amenities for the little ones available on, or near the promenade, such as the ‘nursery by the sea’ or the new inflatable water park. These kiddie-centric venues are perfect to help entertain any minion who’s bored with building sandcastles and needs some time out of the sun or to expend some energy!

In general there’s very little open before 10.00hrs and the majority of services, both public and private, close around 20.00hrs. However, two of the best times of the day to be on the beach in our town is early in the morning and at sundown – so be inventive! If you pack a breakfast picnic, a flask of tea, extra blankets and a cooler box, you can arrive and leave whenever you like.

Have a great day and enjoy yourselves 🙂

BBQs on the beach
The council has installed several large red skip charcoal barbeques, closer to the west end of the beach towards Estepona. There are not many things in life more enjoyable than cooking food on a barbeque on the beach. Families often bring tables, chairs and pagodas and set up the perfect alfresco dining room, and enjoy cooking and socialising into the night.
