The musical talent for this years feria in San Pedro Alcántara has been announced and the line up promises to entertain and delight the crowds at the forthcoming celebrations. The 2018 edition of the festival will take place towards the end of October and the artists due to headline the party are Efecto Pasillo, David DeMaría and Niña Pastori.
The San Pedro feria is arguably the best time of the calendar year for many residents of the town. Happiness will abound from lunchtime until the early hours of the morning throughout the week due to an entertaining and fun packed programme—and music is an extremely important element of the event.
The main centre of the feria and its fairground will be situated for the third year running in the large area in Nueva Alcántara, under the boulevard and stretching down towards the sea.
International award winner Niña Pastori will be bringing her unique flamenco based music to the San Pedro stage and her set will no doubt include songs from her forthcoming tenth album. Pastori has received global recognition for her work, having won several Latin Grammies, and she is the only flamenco artist to date to have been nominated for a Grammy in the Best Latin Pop Album category.
Excited fans of David DeMaría will be expecting him to play several songs from his new album Otros Vidas, including the single ‘Cuando el río suena’.
Unfortunately Hombres G, who were orignally due to appear, will not be performing this year as it has been reported that the popular band from Madrid has a conflicting work schedule. “We have been informed that Hombres G closes the tour on October 6 and from that date on will focus on the rehearsal and recording of new songs for their next album. Although they have tried to change the recordings to correct this misunderstanding (between group and promoter) it has been impossible for them to modify the agenda to appear in San Pedro,” explained María Guerra, Head of Festivals for San Pedro Alcántara.

Also billed to perform on the last day of the fair, Sunday 21st October are: Fury Falconeti, Rockinger z and Devils in the Sky.
Entrance to the concerts is free and they will take place in the Municipal caseta within the main feria fairground.
