One thing many tourists always comment on when they visit Spanish towns is the vast array of colourful flowers that are publicly planted by the councils.
They are in the middle of roundabouts, in the central reservations of main roads and usually dotted around town centres.
In fact one place that really stands out for me is Estepona Old Town where there are plant pots hanging in the various streets, but each street has a different colour of pot.
Well now we have some beauty to look forward to in San Pedro de Alcantara. As part of the ongoing regeneration of San Pedro, there will be over 350 Andalusian style plant pots and flowers of varying size around Calle Marques del Duero and the surrounding streets.
The flowers will all be a mixture of green and white to represent the flag of Andalucia and the project is expected to cost around 91,000€
If you are not sure where Calle Marques del Duero is, it is the street that goes past the 24hr Pharmacy and leads up to where the pedestrian shopping area starts. It is generally on of the busiest part of the town.
