San Pedro de Alcantara is fast becoming the place everyone wants to visit. It was once, like most coastal areas of Spain, a fishing village with a few small restaurants and shops.
It is now a thriving town attracting people from all over the Costa del Sol, as well as being home to many Spanish and expats.
Before the boulevard was even considered, the well known Italian restaurant chain Da Brunos opened up close to the famous ‘ship’ (a wooded structure in the shape of a ship by a popular children’s play area). There were already some well established restaurants like Albert and Simon, Panorama and El Comercio, bringing in visitors from outside of the town.
However since the construction of the boulevard, San Pedro is going from strength to strength. Restaurant owners cannot wait to get their hands on units that become available and San Pedro de Alcantara now boasts some great eateries and bars.
