One of the fun community events leading up to San Pedro Alcántara’s annual feria is nearing it’s closing date for final applications, and we want to make sure that no interested parties miss out on the opportunity to enter.
Yes it’s that time of year again when Marbella puts out a final call for entries into the San Pedro Feria poster competition. This enjoyable initiative calls for lovers of art and design to create a poster to promote the town’s special festival week, which will be held this year from 16th to 21st of October.
The official creative brief states that each poster must contain information relating to when the fair will take place and imagery that symbolises the feria and the town of San Pedro Alcántara itself.
Closing date for submissions is 31st of August 2018!
This is an open competition that always attracts some incredibly inventive, eye catching and interesting artwork from San Pedro locals and residents of neighbouring towns. In previous years entries have been displayed around the town’s church square in front of the town hall but due to the present building works in the locale it is expected that this exhibition will now be shown elsewhere. We will announce details as soon as we can!
Participants can submit their poster work either in person or online via the official website – details of which are noted below.
An expert jury will be assembled to judge all applications which will then be whittled down to a final best ten. Each finalist will be posted on Marbella’s official website and presented to a public vote that will take place between 5th and 12th of September. The winning artwork will be printed to produce a poster that not only announces the forthcoming festivities but will also become an iconic and memorable image of the happy October festival.
To enter online you must provide full contact details, your NIE number and your digital artwork will need to fulfil the following technical criteria:
- JPG image file
- 50 x 70cm at 100dpi (dots per inch)
- 1969 x 2756 pixels
- Image format: JPG RGB (maximum quality 90%)
- Maximum image file size: 1mb
