The commercial centre in Guadalmina – situated just north of the coastal road at the beginning of Guadalmina Alta – is one of the most attractive local mall areas on the Costa del Sol. Centro Comercial Guadalmina offers a great deal of services to residents of both Guadalmina Alta and Guadalmina Baja, and though it is close to the little town of San Pedro Alcántara, this remains a very convenient and highly valued resource right on many people’s doorsteps.
The commercial centre is divided into two distinct parts: the older section on the east side, and the newer one on the west side.
East section
This part of the commercial centre is home to an excellent selection of cafes, a delightful bakery and coffeeshop, a bank, a news agent and some of the best restaurants not just in this area, but in all of Marbella. The Asador de Guadalmina, for example, is a beloved institution that serves excellent meat dishes and tapas – among the best you’ll find in the region!
Upstairs in the office sections are dentist and doctor’s practices, insurance brokers, real estate agents and property developers, as well as a host of other professional services, while the lower level shops also feature a selection of well-established real estate companies.
West section
The western part offers a large parking area, as well as a Supersol supermarket and a delightful choice of cafes for your morning coffee, delicatessen and organic eateries, a shop offering beautiful wines, cheeses and other fresh produce, some furniture and décor studios, hairdressers, beauticians, two banks, a pharmacy and another bakery and coffeeshop. Both the shops below and offices on the first floor contain some real estate agents, and the upper section also houses dentists, doctors, property developers, builders, technical supply companies, architects, insurance brokers, software companies and marketing agencies, as well as accountants, lawyers and gestors.
Parents may also want to know that there is a small clinic that specialises in removing tics, and homeowners with gardeners will find it handy that there is a lawnmower specialist that is great at repairing all types of equipment. For office services head to the digital printers in the east section, and if you’re hungry, the Centro Comercial can offer the cuisines of Spain, Italy, Thailand, Argentina, France, Japan and the UK – an excellent range of options right on your doorstep!
