Arte Sonsoles is a School-Workshop where mainly drawing and painting classes are taught for all ages. It is a space prepared to enjoy creating art and in which great care has been taken to ensure every last detail is perfect, so that everybody feels comfortable and relaxed, whatever their age and needs.
In addition to artistic drawing and painting classes, Arte Sonsoles offers painting workshops and crafts for children, technical drawing classes, crafts for adults, decorative and ornamental painting courses, monographic workshops, events, exhibitions and much more…
Based in San Pedro, only minutes away from the main shops of Avenida Pablo Ruiz Picasso, it is also very close to different amenities. So, you can either leave your child whilst popping next door for a Pilates session, or relax in the brand new park right in front of the school, do your shopping in nearby Mercadona supermarket, or go the gym at the Pabellón de Deportes, also very close by.
The wide range of class schedules is organised by age groups. In the case of the youngest children, they start learning from four years, when their motor skills are developing and they have the ability to concentrate. Groups of four to eight year olds work on awakening the creativity in each student and develop observation through the use of various materials.
As for age nine and up to 13 years old, the art school begins to work in a more specific way, insisting more on the teaching of each particular technique and most of all, drawing. The formats are enlarged and the works lengthen in time, which leads to a deeper learning. From age 14 onwards, they follow the same dynamic, although once the foundations of chiaroscuro and colour are learnt, it is the student who chooses which technique he or she wishes to learn and further develop in more depth.
Although conceived as group classes, in general teaching is individualised, so that each person is attended separately and guided throughout the creative process, in order to overcome any challenges that may arise.
Also adults are welcome, so why not try their morning classes, when you’re free after dropping the kids at school, and indulge in some art classes to set your creativity free!
