San Pedro de Alcantara already boasts a good choice of Supermarkets with two Carrefours, two Dias, A Carrefour Express and a Mercadona. Now, they will increase that choice with the construction od a brand new Aldi Supermarket to serve the local residents.
The San Pedro Aldi supermarket will be built in the northern area of San Pedro close to the industrial estate, in close proximity to the Dia, Supeco, and Mercadona supermarkets that already serve the local community.
Spanning an impressive 1,000 square metres, the Aldi store will boast over 50 parking spaces, providing convenient access for shoppers.
Furthermore, it is predicted to offer an extensive selection of around 2,000 products, catering to a diverse range of customer preferences.
The commencement of construction work at the designated site is scheduled for October of 2023, with completion expected within an eight-month time frame.
San Pedro Alcántara’s Deputy Mayor, Javier García, expressed his enthusiasm, remarking, “This new venture will not only stimulate economic prosperity but also increase job opportunities in one of our town’s focal areas, coinciding with the development of new residential projects.”
Aldi remains steadfast in its commitment to expanding its presence in Andalucía, viewing the region as a key area to its expansion strategy in Spain.
Currently, Andalucía boasts the highest number of Aldi supermarkets across the nation.
Aldi has ambitious plans to close out 2023 by establishing more than 40 new outlets throughout Spain, with their representatives stating, “Marbella holds and will continue to hold a strategic position for us, as we aspire to pursue further growth and contribute to the creation of sustainable employment in the area.”
