The Hotel Paloma Blanca is a new boutique hotel located close to the Cortijo Blanco hotel on the east side of San Pedro de Alcantara and opened its doors to the public in the summer of 2017. The founding owners were no strangers to the hospitality business with restaurants in Puerto Banus and London, and a hotel in Benahavis already.

We were lucky enough to have a brief guided tour of this new hotel in San Pedro de Alcantara and were extremely impressed. It is stylish with a pool located in a ‘plaza’ style set-up with many of the room’s terraces overlooking the pool.

There are different types of rooms but even the standard room is sufficiently spacious for a stay, although you can go up to a superior or even one of the four suites available, which are due to be around the 160€ range in the height of summer. Other rooms are expected to start from around 120€ per night, which s much lower than many of the other local hotels in San Pedro de Alcantara.

The lounge area near to reception is again stylish and comfortable and there is a nice little restaurant and buffet breakfast area, with outside seating also available.

Directly opposite the hotel a new car park has been built, which will be free to patrons of the establishment.

Later in the summer having got married and had our wedding reception on the beach in San Pedro, we had booked the suite for our wedding night.

We have to say, it was a beautiful room and we enjoyed the many facilities on offer. There is parking directly opposite the hotel which made life very easy.

Over the course of the next few years the Paloma Blanca Hotel became famous for its Sunday lunches and poolside dining.

It is now under new management and still providing a great choice of hotel in accommodation in San Pedro, just minutes from the beach and a short walk into the town centre.
