Public Holidays in San Pedro for 2019

The New Year is knocking on the door and 2019 will actually bring us more public holidays than usual. There will be 14 official bank holidays in Spain, some of them public and some religious and as a general rule, banks, public offices, schools, universities and shops are normally closed on these days, while bars, restaurants and public transport are normally open except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

So let’s start planning ahead, an extra day off work is always a bonus 🙂

1 January (Tuesday) – New Year’s Day
6 January (Sunday) – Epiphany (some regions, Andalucía is one of them, transfer this holiday to 7 January – Monday)
18 April (Thursday) – Maundy Thursday
19 April (Friday) – Good Friday
21 April (Sunday) – Easter Day
1 May (Wednesday) – Labour Day
15 August (Thursday) – Assumption of Mary
